A company is looking for a Biomedical Knowledge Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and evolve a custom semantic scientific search platform, including refactoring and architectural upgrades

Provide operational support for legacy biomedical informatics systems, ensuring familiarity with their data models and workflows

Architect and execute complex data migrations while maintaining biomedical metadata fidelity and compliance with regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in software development and biomedical system administration

Extensive knowledge and experience with MarkLogic and MongoDB document databases, including complex data migration scenarios

Proficiency in advanced AWS services for secure application deployment in regulated environments

Practical experience with data management using datasets and APIs from FDA and clinicaltrials.gov

Expertise in NLP, GenAI, and full-stack engineering with modern frontend frameworks and cloud-based microservices architecture
