Job Description
Responsibilities
Summerlin Hospital is a -bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of deliveries per month; a Children’s Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health and oncology care. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center, and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program.

Job Description :
Performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities. Meets all established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements.
Qualifications
Job Requirements : Education :
An associates degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, or degree in electronic engineering technology, or military / technical training, or equivalent work experience, or biomedical related certification.
Experience :
One year minimum of experience working in hospital biomedical / Clinical Engineering department required. Three to five years of experience preferred.
Technical Skills :
Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local)
License / Certification :
Professional Certification preferred (CBET, CRES, CLES, CABT, CHTM, PMP, AWS-CSAA, CISSP, CAN, MLT, CREST and / or other professional certifications as deemed pertinent by the hiring director.
Other :
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care / service appropriate to the age of the patient.
