About the Role :
Join our team as a Part-Time Junior Architect where you'll have the opportunity to work on a range of projects for government buildings, test stands, and laboratory facilities. This role is essential for ensuring the successful design and construction of facilities that meet high standards of efficiency and safety.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Maintain proficiency in building codes related to facility construction and site work.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Support architectural planning, design, and maintenance evaluation for government projects.
- Apply standard architectural and interior design principles to projects.
- Conduct field investigations of existing facilities as necessary.
- Coordinate with design team members to create comprehensive contract design drawings.
- Assist in developing construction cost estimates.
- Review construction submittals for compliance with project requirements.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) during construction.
- Engage in pre-final and final inspections of projects.
- Verify the accuracy of construction drawings produced by contractors.
- Assist Project Managers throughout planning, design, and construction phases.
- Maintain organized working files for reference.
