Job Description
Description :
Health Council of Northwest Ohio (HCNO) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Philanthropy and Business Development to lead our efforts in developing, strengthening, and stewarding relationships with businesses, community partners, and nonprofit organizations to support our mission of improving health outcomes in the region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact by fostering partnerships, driving fundraising initiatives, and expanding our organization’s reach within the community.
About Us
HCNO is a mission-driven, health-focused nonprofit dedicated to improving health outcomes across the 18 counties within Northwest Ohio. HCNO leads innovative programs, community initiatives, and collaborative partnerships that advance population health and strengthen community well-being.
If you are a relationship-builder with a track record of fundraising success and a passion for community health, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive philanthropy and business development strategy to increase organizational revenue and strengthen community partnerships.
- Cultivate, steward, and expand relationships with area businesses, foundations, community organizations, and other potential partners to support collaborative health initiatives.
- Lead fundraising efforts, including identifying prospects, cultivating donors, and securing direct donations and sponsorships from businesses and community partners.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, including logistics, engagement strategies, promotion, sponsorship development, and post-event follow-up.
- Identify opportunities for strategic collaboration with other nonprofits and community stakeholders to advance regional health outcomes and expand program impact.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and materials that effectively communicate the mission, value, and outcomes of the organization.
- Develop and manage systems for donor recognition, stewardship, and ongoing relationship management.
- Track fundraising progress, donor data, and partnership engagement; prepare reports for leadership and the Board as required.
- Represent the organization at community meetings, networking events, conferences, and other engagement opportunities.
- Assist leadership with strategic planning, organizational initiatives, and special projects related to philanthropy or business development.
Requirements :
Join HCNO and be part of a passionate team dedicated to improving health outcomes through innovative community partnerships and sustainable funding strategies. We offer a collaborative environment, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the community. Benefits include low cost health insurance, generous paid time off, paid holidays, 403b and pension.
