Job Title : CAD Designer Job Description

We are seeking a motivated CAD Designer to join our engineering and manufacturing teams. This position is ideal for someone early in their career who has hands-on experience with SolidWorks and a basic understanding of mechanical drawings. The successful candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about working with 3D models and manufacturing-related designs.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret 2D drawings with guidance from engineering staff.
  • Create and update 3D models of parts and simple assemblies using SolidWorks.
  • Assist in preparing and revisiting detailed drawings.
  • Help design basic check fixtures for inspection and quality purposes.
  • Work closely with engineers and manufacturing personnel to support design updates.
  • Maintain organized CAD files and documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • 1+ years of experience creating fabrication and assembly drawings within a fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read and understand basic 2D AutoCAD engineering drawings.
  • Experience with sheet metal design.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

    • Work Environment

    This role is based in the office, working five days a week on the first shift with flexible start and end times. After completing training, there may be an opportunity to transition into a hybrid role.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 / hr.
