Additional responsibilities include:

  • Prepares patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, including patient education, informed consent verification, and pre-procedure assessments.
  • Assists with catheterization equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal procedural efficiency and patient safety.
  • Administers medications and contrast agents as prescribed, monitoring for adverse reactions and patient responses.
  • Provides immediate post-procedure care and monitoring, including vascular access site assessment, hemostasis maintenance, and patient stabilization.
  • Maintains strict adherence to infection control protocols, sterile technique, and radiation safety standards within the catheterization laboratory environment.

  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of procedures, patient responses, medications administered, and nursing interventions in the electronic health record.
  • Responds promptly to emergency situations, including cardiac arrhythmias and hemodynamic instability, implementing appropriate interventions and life support measures.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development to enhance clinical competency and laboratory standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a proven track record of clinical excellence.
  • Sharp clinical knowledge and analytical prowess to develop innovative, patient-centered nursing care plans that drive real outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional professional nursing services across diverse, complex patient scenarios.
  • Outstanding communication skills that inspire confidence in patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
