The Correctional Detention Officer is responsible for routine duties following established policies, regulations, and procedures to maintain order and ensure the security, care, and direct supervision of inmates / residents in various activities. These activities include housing units, meals, recreational sessions, work assignments, and other essential phases within a correctional facility. The officer may be required to use weapons or force to maintain discipline and order. Flexibility to work any post assignment on any shift is necessary.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining the safety and security of residents within the facility while engaging in a variety of roles, including but not limited to armory / key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, and more.
Qualifications :
- Completion of pre-service correctional officer training is required; a non-commissioned security officer license may be necessary based on state requirements.
- A valid driver's license and an impeccable driving record are mandatory. You must demonstrate the ability to fulfill any required training to meet contract needs and standards.
- The minimum age requirement is 18 years.
