Chief Technology Officer

The Department of Health and Welfare is hiring a Chief Technology Officer in our downtown Boise office. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) provides strategic technical leadership for the Department of Health and Welfare's information systems, enterprise architecture, and technology planning functions. The CTO translates strategy into technical execution, ensuring that systems, integrations, and data platforms are secure, scalable, and aligned with statewide IT direction and business needs. The CTO provides people leadership across technology functions, directing how the Department designs, selects, and implements software solutions. The CTO collaborates closely with other technology leaders and acts as Deputy Administrator within the IT Services Division. This position is not eligible for telework.
