Chief Operating Officer - Adams Bank & Trust

We are currently looking for a full time experienced leader for our Chief Operating Officer role. We offer a competitive benefits package; including paid time off, 401k match, and health insurance. This position can be based out of Nebraska or Colorado.

POSITION SUMMARY: Leads and manages all aspects of the financial institution that enhance customer experience. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of products, services, data management, and digital channels. The role requires a visionary leader who can drive innovation and ensure that the bank's offerings are aligned with customer needs and market trends. Works closely with the CEO to develop and implement Bank strategies as well as the President to assist in achievement of growth goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develops and executes strategies that support the bank's strategic goals, focusing on customer-centric solutions and digital transformation.
  2. Product and Service Management: Oversees the creation and enhancement of products and services, ensuring they meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Understands current trends and market influences that will affect the need to accelerate changes to products, services, and digital experiences.
  3. Data and Analytics: Leads the financial institution's data leverage strategies. Utilizes data-driven insights to improve customer engagement and operational efficiency. Implements advanced analytics to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  4. Digital Channels: Leads the development and optimization of digital banking channels, including online banking, mobile applications, and other digital platforms. Responsible for seamless integration and user-friendly experiences.
  5. Customer Experience: Champions initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty and that ultimately grow wallet share and positively impact brand equity. Monitors and improves customer service standards across all touch points.
  6. Leads: Provides executive leadership of various departments of the financial institution such as deposit operations, IT, and data management.
  7. Collaboration: Works closely with various departments, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure cohesive and effective execution of strategies. Fosters a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  8. Trends and Compliance: Keeps current on trends and business conditions in banking and market areas to provide competitive products, services, and channels. Remains current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technological environments which may impact customer experience and operations. Completes compliance training, adheres to all anti-money laundering guidelines and procedures and all regulatory requirements. Oversees compliance of policies and procedures for teams that are under the jurisdiction of the position.
  9. Employee Development: Coaches and develops employees, including career development plans. Sets goals and evaluates individual performance of direct reports. Works with direct reports to build culture characterized by teamwork and high morale. Assures effective communication across all regions, markets and locations. Regularly communicates goals and results.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Represents Bank in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc., and promotes Bank's favorable image.
  • Compliance with bank policies and procedures and federal and state laws/regulations.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in technology or business-related area or equivalent combination education and experience.
  • Graduate degree in related field or completion of graduate level banking school preferred.

Experience

  • A minimum of 10-15 years banking experience with proven management and leadership skills
  • Banking experience must include product management, operations, or technology.
  • Direct experience with clients, customers, or sales as a foundation for alignment with growth team.
