Medical Assistant (Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic)

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Will assist clients of our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by providing information, services, and assistance through various means.
• Including but not limited to securing medical records, maintaining medical supplies / inventory, and performing preventative maintenance to keep equipment operating.
• Verify patient information, record medical history, schedule appointments, report patient history, reason for visit, and capture vitals (including blood pressure, height, weight, temperature).
• Explain procedures to patients, prepare patients for examination, and assist during examination as needed.
• Administrative duties may include answering multi-line telephones, greeting patients, updating files and forms, medical record keeping, insurance verification, handling correspondence between patients and providers, and other misc. front office / admin responsibilities.
• Compliance with all company trainings, policies, and procedures.
• Additional responsibilities as delegated.
