Job Description

Liberator Medical Supply, a subsidiary of BD, is seeking a Sr. Software Engineering Manager, Salesforce to lead and inspire teams focused on all aspects of our Salesforce platform to drive innovation, quality, and customer excellence. You will lead a team that's building solutions which enable our organization to make accurate customer-first decisions at every level, at the speed business demands.

This is a unique opportunity to lead our business and team in the healthcare space leveraging Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, and Health Cloud. In this role, you will work closely with various business, product, and technology teams to design and build innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate is an agile practitioner, fosters teamwork, and can build strong interpersonal relationships with the Operations teams, Technology team, Leadership, and Stakeholders with a focus on building the right functionality in the right order and helping overcome obstacles. This is a highly visible, business-impacting position.

The successful candidate must be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and naturally curious with the ability to improvise and develop creative solutions when common approaches fail. The candidate possesses a strong value of pragmatism over idealism in times of uncertainty with a perpetual curiosity and passion for honing their craft.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers and administrators to deliver Salesforce solutions across multiple Salesforce Clouds. Provide leadership, direction, and strategy for a growing team, leading platform modernization efforts.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to optimize and consolidate business processes built on Salesforce and MuleSoft, from concept to implementation.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize deep technical knowledge of Salesforce platforms, including Service Cloud, Health Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud to provide best in class solutions. Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, design, and architecture.
  • Architecting Solutions: Plan and deliver a suite of Salesforce technologies, ensuring proper design, implementation, scalability, maintainability, security, and performance. Work closely with Enterprise and Solution architects
  • Agile Practices and Development : Lead agile development teams using tools like Jira to manage requirements, backlog, and testing. Demonstrate understanding of agile software development life cycle, practices, and methodologies.
  • Team Development : Hire, coach, develop, motivate, and mentor team members.
  • Performance Management : Plan, lead, organize, and motivate agile teams to achieve high performance and quality standards.
  • Operations Management : Oversee day-to-day operations for the Salesforce platform, including change/release management, DevOps (CI/CD), operational readiness, support activities, and production incident resolution.
  • Budget and Vendor Management : Manage budgets and vendor relationships for all areas of responsibility.
  • Metrics and Success: Drive teams to establish and progress toward key metrics to measure success, such as KPIs and OKRs.
  • Strategic Planning: Act as a trusted advisor to understand business challenges and assist in planning future business capabilities using best-in-class technology solutions.
  • Organizational Improvement: Collaborate across peer groups to drive organizational improvements and operational excellence.
  • Salesforce Knowledge: Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, product roadmaps, and applications available from third parties on the Salesforce AppExchange.
  • System Health: Measure, monitor, and ensure the health of production systems.
  • Information Security: Ensure healthcare information security best practices are in place and adhere to HIPAA, utilizing common control frameworks like NIST and HITRUST CSF.
  • Resource Estimation: Estimate resourcing and costs, support business cases, and develop high-level program plans

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience leading teams and/or managing direct reports
  • Minimum of 10 years as a Salesforce leader who has managed a team of Salesforce administrators and developers
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with MuleSoft or similar integration platform
  • Strong expertise in at least two (2) of the following clouds: Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud, Health Cloud, and Data Cloud
  • Strong background in the execution of DevOps methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery and accomplishments in Salesforce
  • Knowledge of SaaS / PaaS / IaaS platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, including product/service evaluation, contract negotiations, and on-going relationship management
  • History of utilizing a highly analytical skill set to synthesize complex and diverse information
  • Experienced in successful group presentations and conducting meetings, able to clearly articulate verbally.
  • Track record of identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner and gathering and analyzing information skillfully.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HIPAA/HITECH regulations and guidelines for securing ePHI data.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry
