Job Description
Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering to begin Fall 2026 .

This is a tenure-track 9-month faculty position. Primary duties will include teaching courses (at a reduced teaching load); being part of the inaugural faculty to launch of the new Civil Engineering program focusing on Water Resources and Wastewater Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or Green Building Engineering with emphasis on LEED and sustainable design; assisting in the establishment and development of laboratory facilities; collaborating with faculty and staff; mentoring students as well as helping to guide their research projects. Duties also include developing externally funded research, enhancing the School’s research profile, fostering collaborations with industry, government, and interdisciplinary teams to advance lab and program initiatives; and providing service to the School, college, and university.
