Complex Claim Director - Employment Practices Liability (EPL)

How you will create an impact

You will be responsible for handling all aspects of complex Employment Practice Liability claims, with opportunity to handle Directors & Officers Lability, from inception through conclusion brought against privately held and not-for-profit insureds.

  • Making coverage determinations, investigating losses, evaluating, and projecting potential exposures
  • Making case presentations, setting judgmental reserves, developing, and implementing resolution strategies
  • Working with defense counsel, collaborating with underwriting and delivering differentiated value and service to our customers and distribution partners.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A minimum of six or more years of experience handling complex insurance claims, litigation or other related experience.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the litigation and arbitration process
  • Juris Doctor is preferred

For positions based in New York, NY, the base salary range is $120,000-$150,000. For positions based in Illinois, the base salary range is $120,000-$150,000. The position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we're proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
