Analyst Position at Matthews

Matthews is the fastest growing commercial real estate and technology company in the nation, built on a culture of teamwork, integrity, and excellence. We empower our professionals to achieve success through world-class resources, innovative technology, and an environment that rewards hard work and ambition. As an Analyst at Matthews, you will join a team redefining success in commercial real estate.

As an Analyst, you'll play a critical role in supporting top-producing agents with business development, financial analysis, and transaction execution. This 24-month program offers structured training, mentorship, and hands-on exposure to commercial real estate deals, providing the ideal foundation for a long-term career in the industry.

Upon completion, Analysts can pursue two clear career paths:

  • Brokerage Track Transition into brokerage, building your own book of business with the backing of industry-leading training and resources.
  • Senior Analyst Track Advance to a senior role, continuing to deliver high-level financial and transaction support while deepening your expertise.

Our progression model ensures Analysts graduate with the skills, experience, and professional network needed to thrive in commercial real estate.

What You Will Do

Transaction Support

  • Draft Letters of Intent, listing agreements, addenda, and client reports.
  • Support due diligence, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documents.
  • Edit and proof marketing packages to ensure accuracy of property information, financials, and presentation.

Client Engagement

  • Accompany clients on property tours, highlighting key features and opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting Broker Opinions of Value (BOVs) and client-facing analyses.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Financial & Data Analysis

  • Analyze, underwrite, and forecast property cash flows and valuations using templates and modeling software.
  • Update and maintain rent and sales comparables using industry data sources.
  • Input, track, and report on business performance metrics and trends.

Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate data across company databases.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns and provide weekly performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with state real estate laws nationwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, real estate, or related field.
  • 13 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
  • Active real estate license (or ability to obtain within first year; support available).
  • Strong financial and Excel-based modeling skills; familiarity with Argus, CoStar, or similar platforms a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and motivated to learn.

Your Opportunity

  • Comprehensive training through Matthews University and advanced underwriting coursework.
  • Direct mentorship from senior leaders and exposure to every stage of the deal cycle.
  • Defined career path with two strong options: brokerage or senior analyst.
  • Market-competitive base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, and full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, wellness programs).
  • A collaborative, high-energy culture committed to professional growth.
