Bodily Injury Telephone Adjuster

National General Insurance is currently hiring an experienced Bodily Injury Telephone Adjuster. The ideal candidate will be based in one of the following Pacific time zone states : California, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, and possess experience in handling homeowner, commercial, or auto liability claims. Candidates must be able to work 8am 5pm Pacific time zone hours. Litigation experience may be necessary for this role. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage and negotiate claims. Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority.

Key Responsibilities

Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department

Handles investigation regarding all aspects of advanced auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority

For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate basic to moderate injury claims

Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding other potential property damage

Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills

Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle

Applies increased experience in the Adjuster II level or a rotation into a specialty position (Coverage, Investigation Specialist, Total Loss, Initial Handler, Extended Handler, etc.)

Experience

2 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Compensation

The base range offered for the role is : $45,000.00 $99,190.00 and may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge, and experience; among other factors. Other financial components may be added as part of the competitive compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
