Job Description:

About DXC Technology

DXC Technology is a leading enterprise technology and innovation partner delivering software, services, and solutions to global enterprises and public sector organizations — helping them harness AI to drive outcomes at a time of exponential change with speed. With deep expertise in Managed Infrastructure Services, Application Modernization, and Industry-Specific Software Solutions, DXC modernizes, secures, and operates some of the world's most complex technology estates.

DXC's Insurance Software and BPS (ISB) helps insurers around the world modernize and run their core operations at scale by combining deep industry expertise, proven software platforms, and innovative AI-driven solutions. A global market leader in core insurance platforms, ISB delivers solutions across policy administration, claims, billing, analytics, and digital engagement supporting Life & Annuity, Property & Casualty, and Specialty insurance markets. You’ll directly shape how the world's leading insurers operate by helping to transform the policy, underwriting, and claims systems that millions of people rely on every day.

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Life & Annuities Claims to lead managed claims operations supporting a strategic client. This leader will oversee end-to-end claims processing, drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional service levels while leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations for Life & Annuities claims processing, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant adjudication of claims.
  • Manage and develop a team of managers, supervisors, claims analysts, and claims processors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive operational performance by monitoring service level agreements (SLAs), productivity, quality, turnaround times, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations, operational goals, and business priorities are consistently achieved.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline claims processes through automation, workflow optimization, and best practices to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, client policies, internal controls, and audit standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning for operational issues, quality findings, and client escalations.
  • Analyze operational data and key performance indicators to identify trends, recommend improvements, and provide executive-level reporting.
  • Collaborate with technology, quality, training, and transformation teams to implement process enhancements and support digital initiatives.
  • Support workforce planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and capacity management to meet evolving business demands.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful service delivery and client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Life & Annuities insurance operations, including significant experience in claims administration.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing claims operations, including managers, supervisors, or large operational teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Life & Annuities claims processing, claims adjudication, policy administration, and operational controls.
  • Experience managing client-facing operations within a Business Process Services (BPS), shared services, or outsourced operations environment preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead operational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using operational metrics and KPIs to drive performance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or related field) preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, PMP, or other process improvement certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Life & Annuities claims administration platforms and workflow management systems.
  • Knowledge of digital claims transformation, automation, AI-assisted claims processing, and business process optimization.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed or global operations teams.

At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success. Our work model prioritizes in-person collaboration while offering flexibility to support wellbeing, productivity, individual work styles, and life circumstances. We’re committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
