Clerical Support - Swing Shift, Ogden, UT

Cherokee Nation Federal Consulting (CNFC) is a tribal?owned 8(a) company that delivers asset management services to federal clients. CNFCs team blends consulting, program management, and operational experience to meet strict client demands.

SUMMARY

Provide office support via data entry and clerical tasks using established work methods and procedures. Familiarity with department policies and practices is required. Shift is 5?PM to 1 : 30?AM, Monday?Friday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform original entry and / or data verification on Information Returns in the SCRIPS system and transcribe data into computer programs.
  • Input data into inventory tracking systems and record entity changes (e.g., name or address).
  • Process requests for products such as transcripts, using automated tools.
  • Execute general clerical tasks : filing, sorting, batching, and grouping documents.
  • Extract mail from incoming deliveries.
  • Retrieve, file, and associate documents with existing files.
  • Stamp documents with dates and numbers.
  • Prepare documents for scanning, removing staples, repairing tears or holes.
  • Prepare paper tax returns for numbering and transcription, perform pen?and?ink changes, and complete other job?related duties as assigned.
  • Create, implement, and educate staff on company policies, procedures, and HR programs.
  • Drive performance?management and talent?development processes to promote a high?performance culture.
  • Reduce legal risks and ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
  • Identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience; partner with program management to implement innovative solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with HR, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to support HR strategy and business operations.
  • Perform other job?related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY / MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

  • No supervisory / management authority.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma.
  • At least one year of clerical or office work related to listed duties.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Type 25 words per minute and be proficient in ten?key entry.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft systems.
  • Maintain established records and files.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions; seek clarification when needed.
  • Must meet the following federal regulations :
  • Be federal?tax compliant, having filed and paid taxes (or on an approved payment plan).
  • Have an acceptable FBI criminal history fingerprint and name check.
  • Have two Forms I?9 identification to complete Personal Identity Verification (PIV).
  • For males born after 1959, be compliant with Selective Service Registration.
  • Consent to a credit history check with an acceptable government determination.
  • Complete Standard Form (SF?85) and Optional Form (OF?306) questions 1,?8,?9,?10,?11,?12,?13,?16,?17a via eQIP.
  • Pass a federal background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Primarily performed in a climate?controlled office setting.
  • Work hours : 5 : 00?PM to 1 : 30?AM with a pay differential.

    COMPLIANCE

    Pursuant to U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, Cherokee Federal requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID?19 by December 8th; proof of vaccination is required for onboarding. Limited exemptions for religious or medical reasons will be considered.

    TEMPORARY NOTE

    On December 7, a federal judge issued an injunction blocking President Bidens COVID?19 vaccine mandate for federal contractors. Cherokee Federal is monitoring the case and awaiting a final ruling. If the injunction is lifted, the vaccine requirement will be reenacted.
