Commercial Banking Relationship Manager
A Commercial Banking Relationship Manager is responsible for business development and relationship management with business clients. Your ability to develop customer relationships through friendly, courteous, and responsive service will be key. Promoting the Bank's services to current and potential customers through local community events and developing strong relationships with referral sources in the community will be essential. You will be responsible for attracting new commercial banking clients through lending and deposit products within the greater Wilmington market.
What You'll Do at Live Oak
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the bank's products and services the bank is offering, including C&I, CRE, deposit, treasury, and private banking solutions
- Participate in community events and networking activities to increase the bank's presence and awareness
- Meet established sales goals through active participation in the sales management process
- Recognizing that all members of the team are vital to its success
- Deep understanding of financial products and services
- Generate deposits from area businesses, with a focus on non-interest-bearing accounts
- Analyzing applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine if loan requests meet the Bank's lending criteria
- Prepare loan proposals reflecting structures that comply with Bank credit standards
- Recommend loans to credit committee for approval, including leading presentations and deal discussions; be prepared to defend structure and terms recommendations and answer questions from credit and leadership about the project, customer, and asset class
- Maintain strong relationships within the assigned geographic market and those area business communities, particularly in the Bank's asset class focus areas
- Attend any relevant community, trade shows, and industry events to build network and support business development
- Ability to identify and address key risk factors and recommend appropriate credit actions
- Maintain a high standard of regulatory awareness including BSA, AML, CIP, and OFAC
- Perform other duties as required
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of industry-related experience required with proven track record
- Formal sales or credit training
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Ability to work effectively with client support, product teams, and senior management
- Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to travel
Preferred Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound judgment, detail-oriented
- PC proficiency
- In-depth knowledge of Bank lending policies, procedures, and criteria

The base pay range for this position is $128,500.00 - $436,900.00 per year. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate's salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
