At First Mid, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of discretionary short-term incentives (i.e. bonus, incentives, and / or commission). The Senior Project Manager will manage and analyze multiple large, complex projects, exercise good judgment in a variety of situations and maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Lead and manage projects with overall accountability for project success.
• Responsible for all aspects of projects including stakeholder identification and management; team selection and development; schedule, risk, vendor, and communication management; and issue / conflict resolution.
• Follow and promote Project Management Office standard methodologies, processes and tools, develop and maintain project documentation, work plans and project deliverables.
• Determine project risk factors and issues and direct mitigation plans. Initiate and maintain issues logs, taking responsibility for identifying and coordinating resolution of all technical and business issues.
• Work with project sponsor(s) to establish project performance goals, metrics and baseline measures.
• Establish and maintain effective communications with team members, stakeholders and senior management. Communicate project status to identified stakeholders through routine status reports and meetings
• Estimate resources needed on projects to ensure success. Coordinate vendor activities to ensure project success.
• Ensure business requirements are captured and agreed upon prior to the start of project efforts.
• Managing a project portfolio that supports business strategies, revenue, sales and profit targets; operate within agreed budgets, maintain targeted customer satisfaction levels and reach agreed business objectives.
• Represent company in customer facing project meetings, attend project review & strategy meetings
• Maintain strong relationships with the leadership team to understand and help support strategic outcomes.
• Evaluate the project team performance against established goals, completing project evaluations on a timely basis.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a network of industry, technology and consulting contacts that may benefit the bank in accomplishing its strategic and tactical business programs.
• Conduct requests for proposals, negotiate contracts and renewals to obtain the most cost-effective outcome for the financial institution.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Utilize technical expertise to mentor other professionals in the department on project management methodology and tools.
