Medical Assistant Medical Assistant Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our outpatient clinic in Pomona, CA. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for a motivated individual to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both front and back office duties and comfortable working with pediatric patients. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team by assisting with patient intake, performing clinical tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your ability to communicate effectively in Spanish and provide compassionate care to our diverse patient population will be essential to your success in this role. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures. Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical history, and current medications. Prepare examination rooms and ensure necessary supplies are available. Administer injections and medications as directed by a physician. Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens. Assist with front office duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Provide patient education and support. Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control policies. Required Qualifications Medical Assistant Certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic or urgent care setting. Must reside within 30-50 miles of 1770 N. Orange Grove Ave, Pomona. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in pediatric care. Bilingual in Spanish and English. Experience with adult outpatient clinic procedures.
