Department / Unit Summary
- Provides direct patient care using the nursing process and supports unit coordination activities to promote safe, high-quality outcomes. Serves as a resource to staff and assists with scheduling, education, and performance initiatives. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
- Coordinates staff scheduling, educational / development activities, and performance evaluations.
- Identifies and resolves issues affecting delivery of clinical services and patient flow.
- Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA / QI initiatives.
- Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts regarding clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
- Monitors departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission requirements.
- Provides direct patient care as needed in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care and works other shifts / units as needed; may be assigned on-call.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include :
