This is a live-in position with specific duties and responsibilities which include but are not limited to the list below:/pulliAssist in all administrative details including:/liulliResidential Check-In and Check-Out/liliKey Inventory/liliStaff evaluations/liliCommunity Building/li/ulliFacilitate training during Student Orientation;/liliLead weekly residence life staff meetings for your team;/liliMeet with staff who display behavior concerns and facilitate conduct meetings as necessary;/liliAttend weekly leadership meetings and manage all on-going development for residence staff and will relay pertinent information on these topics to the students in a suitable and timely manner;/liliAttend co-curricular events and activities;/liliManage student interactions using student management software;/liliAct as a mentor and role model to PCs, students and staff through everyday actions and good decision-making;/liliServe On-Call Duty and Back Up On-Call shifts (see below);/liliCommunicate with parents/guardians regarding student needs and concerns;/liliMediate conflicts as they arise/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pThe Residence Hall Assistant Director will be an experienced residential education professional with prior leadership experience and a minimum of 2 years of work in comparable positions. Prior work in a university program, boarding school, or as guidance counselor is particularly desirable./ppEducation, Work Experience and/or Licensure/pulliMust be legally authorized to work in the United States/liliBachelors degree/lili2+ years of related work experience/liliMust be CPR certified or be willing to obtain prior to start of program./liliTwo references required/li/ulpThe RHAD must complete online training prior to move-in and will move into the residence halls on Sunday, July 5th, in preparation for in person training, which begins Monday, July 6th, 2026. Dates of commitment are below:/pulliPro Staff Virtual Training: Asynchronous/liliMove-in: July 5th/liliIn Person Training: July 6th July 10th/liliTerm 1: June 12th June 24th/liliMove-out: July 25th/li/ulp*Move in Dates may change/ppCurfew and Proximity/ppTo maintain student-to-staff ratios overnight, staff may be required to remain within a 15-minute walk of campus after 11 p.m. on their working nights. Staff do not have curfew or proximity restrictions on their days off./ppOvernight shift - 24-hour Emergency/ppThe School gives students and staff a 24-hour Emergency Phone Number to report incidents such as medical and mental health emergencies, severe conduct violations, unforeseen and/or troubling circumstances, building maintenance emergencies and other similar escalations.
