Facilities Assistant must be able to work in a group or alone, while assisting other departments as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reports to Facility Foreman for Daily work tasks Basic painting interior/exterior Drywall experience Basic electrical Basic plumbing Basic vehicle maintenance Performs daily walk to pick up and dispose of all miscellaneous trash found on the grounds Keeps grounds swept Keeps Transfer Car Pad and Rails clean and dirt freeOperate forklift, scissor lift, and man lift as neededWork overtime and weekends as needed Other duties as assigned by Manager Safety and Environmental Responsibilities Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area. Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
