Job Summary
The Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia invites applications from individuals with training or experience in pathology and/or pathophysiology who have a major interest in medical education. This is a 12-month, non-tenure track faculty appointment. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching pathology in the new integrated organ system-based curriculum of USCSOM. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in developing and facilitating interactive/self-directed learning as well as case-based, team-based, and small-group sessions. Additional duties may include student mentoring, committee work, and participation in educational or scholarly activities. Candidates for this position are not required to provide patient care responsibilities. Required Education and Experience Earned and/or from an accredited institution.Experience in medical pathology education.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and other personnel.
