The Children’s Advocacy Center of SW Florida (CAC) is a busy non-profit agency located in Fort Myers serving Lee, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades Counties. At CAC, we offer abuse determination services for children as well as therapeutic counseling, parenting education, and prevention programs.
CAC is seeking a qualified full-time clinical therapist for the Family Alliance Program. The position provides trauma-based therapy to children who have been abused and to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Work hours vary from Monday through Friday and may include a minimum of two evenings per week.
General Responsibilities (full job description will be provided upon interview) :
- Provide individual therapy, family sessions, group counseling, and psychoeducational sessions.
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, weekly sessions, and discharges.
- Facilitate 5-6 daily sessions using TF-CBT, EMDR, or a psychoeducational curriculum.
- Complete progress notes and maintain comprehensive client records.
- Create and implement treatment plans.
- Submit daily documentation and monthly data in a timely manner.
- Travel to a satellite office once per week to conduct sessions in Charlotte County or Hendry County.
- Participate in weekly individual / group supervision.
- Complete quarterly and annual training.
- Provide testimony in court as needed.
