[job_card.job_description]Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program. Currently registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Valid state licensure / certification as required. A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience is preferred. Exceptional communication skills for effectively engaging with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Adept at critical thinking to devise, implement, and assess nutrition plans. Proficient in general nutrition interventions and familiar with nutrition care regulations. Competent in using electronic charting systems.

About RD Nutrition Consultants LLC
We are a leading consulting firm providing expert dietitians to healthcare facilities nationwide. Our focus is on delivering exceptional nutrition services and improving resident outcomes.
Facility Type : Skilled Nursing
Schedule : 20 hours / week with the ability to choose your days and hours.
Compensation : $40.00-$45.00 per hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for new admissions and ongoing quarterly evaluations for residents, especially high-risk individuals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor tailored nutrition care plans for each resident.
- Provide personalized nutrition education and counseling as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure holistic resident care.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including CMS and DOH requirements.
- Document all relevant information to support care decisions effectively.
- Monitor residents' weight weekly or monthly to detect changes in nutritional and hydration status.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the nutrition care services provided.
- Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits, documenting findings and suggesting corrective actions for maintaining safety and hygiene.
- Review and approve menus bi-annually to ensure compliance with USDA guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, all within the scope of practice.
