Position Overview
This role is essential for delivering exceptional patient-centered care within telemetry units. The Advanced Telemetry RN at the Clinical Nurse II level demonstrates specialized skills and certifications, working independently while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care :
Monitor patients requiring continuous cardiac observation.
Maintain a safe, clean environment adhering to infection control and institutional policies.
Accurately document patient care, interventions, and responses in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) following patient care standards.
Mentor and precept new graduate nurses, new hires, and students to support their growth.
Respond promptly and effectively to cardiac emergencies such as arrhythmias and chest pain using advanced clinical skills.
Qualifications
Minimum two years as a Registered Nurse in telemetry or equivalent intermediate care settings.
Technical proficiency with centralized cardiac monitoring systems.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with five years telemetry nursing experience considered.
Current Registered Nurse license valid in the state of practice.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
All candidates must successfully complete a physical evaluation, drug screening, and background checks prior to employment.
