Join Pride Health as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) at Irving, TX! This is a 5 months contract role (with high possibility of extension pr conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Role : Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)

Location : Irving, TX 75063

Job Type : 5 Months Contract + Possible Extension or Conversion

Shift Schedule : Tuesday – Saturday 2 : 00 AM – 10 : 30 AM CST (3rd shift)

Hours per Week : 40 hours / week

Start Date : ASAP

Pay Highlights : $35-40 / hour (Based on years of experience)

Key Responsibilities :

Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, analysis, and result reporting

Perform testing using approved methodologies per department SOPs

Review, validate, and release test results accurately and timely

Maintain complete and accurate records of all testing performed

Perform and document quality control, instrument calibration, and maintenance activities

Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and all laboratory safety guidelines

Identify testing issues, troubleshoot problems, implement corrective actions, and notify leadership when needed

Report STAT and critical results according to established procedures

Maintain proper reagent and test kit documentation (received, opened, and expiration dates)

Participate in new procedure training, monthly department meetings, and safety training sessions

Support regulatory inspections when required

Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications : Education :

BS / BA in Chemistry or Biology OR

BS in Medical Technology (preferred),

Associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology

Previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433

Experience :

Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred

High-complexity testing experience required for candidates with Chemistry or Biology degrees

Reliable personal transportation required (bus, Uber, or rideshare not acceptable)

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

License / Certificate : National certification as MT / MLT (ASCP or AMT) preferred or eligibility required

Note : Local or Travelers both accepted
