Vancouver Clinic is seeking a dynamic and visionary Clinical Laboratory Manager to lead our laboratory operations with a focus on servant leadership, innovation, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Laboratory and Pathology Administrative Director, this role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely patient results, integrating cutting-edge technologies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Hiring Range: $98,000/yr to $132,000/yr commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a department culture aligned with Vancouver Clinic’s mission and values through inspirational leadership.
- Oversee all clinical laboratory operations across core and stat labs within the Vancouver Clinic system.
- Drive strategic initiatives including new test development, service expansion, and resource optimization.
- Serve as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders regarding laboratory services.
- Continuously improve lab processes to enhance safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain up-to-date procedures and work instructions.
- Collaborate in budget planning and monitor financial performance to meet operational targets.
- Hire, coach, and develop high-performing teams, including supervisory staff.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all organizational directives.
- Lead customer service excellence initiatives that reflect the clinic’s commitment to quality care.
- Apply Lean and Value Improvement Practice tools to identify and implement process enhancements.
- Analyze operational data to assess progress and inform strategic decisions.
- Support staff equitably and compassionately, contributing to performance evaluations and quality assurance planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a NACLS-accredited MT or MLS program required.
- Certification as MLS (ASCP) or MT (ASCP) required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a certified technologist/scientist.
- At least 1 year in a lab leadership role (supervisor, or manager).
- Proven experience in leading, managing, and developing direct reports.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to assess performance and manage budgets effectively.
Pay Range:
$96,196.00 - $144,295.00The above information is intended to indicate the general nature and level of work required in this position.
