Maintenance Technician

Location : Boring, OR

Pay : $28 - $32 / HR

Responsibilities

Always work safely—this is a core requirement of the role.

Follow all company policies, GMPs, and SOPs.

Collaborate with team members, apply mechanical concepts, and be open to training and feedback.

Diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical issues on processing equipment.

Inspect equipment, identify potential failures, and take proactive steps to prevent downtime.

Monitor machinery to reduce unplanned outages, resolve problems promptly, and look for process improvements.

Support line startups and assist operators with equipment adjustments.

Perform general building maintenance and repairs as needed.

Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.

Weld and fabricate parts or machinery when required.

Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to plan and execute routine and preventive maintenance schedules.

Help onboard and train new team members, ensuring they’re fully capable before working independently.

Act as a point of contact for non-standard work, emergency repairs, and vendor coordination.

Set the tone for safety, work ethic, and compliance with GMPs.

Provide hands-on support when team members encounter challenges.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic.

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework is a plus.

Solid understanding of mechanical systems, including chains, sprockets, gears, bushings, bearings, gearboxes, and other moving components.

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues effectively.

Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—and the ability to collaborate with peers, supervisors, and managers.

Competence in basic math.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Organized and detail-oriented approach to tasks.

Flexible schedule and willingness to work varied hours as needed.

Work Environment / Shift

GMP Environment.

Night Shift : 8pm-5 : 30am, Monday - Friday.
