What it's like to be a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant at Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Step into a rewarding role as a Medical Provider on our Atlas Medical Care Team, where your mission is to deliver mobile on-site primary care to vulnerable patients in assisted living and senior communities. In this dynamic position, you'll autonomously manage complex healthcare scenarios, addressing the challenges of multiple co-morbid conditions with confidence. Beyond medical care, you’ll play a crucial role in educating patients and their families on self-care, disease management, and end-of-life discussions. Collaboration is at the heart of our team approach, as you will work closely with facility staff and our Atlas Patient Care support teams. With a strong emphasis on quality measures and upholding confidentiality, you'll embody our core values of Character, Experience, and Trust, ensuring high standards of care while making a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.

Would you be a great Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant?

To thrive as a Medical Provider on our Atlas Medical Care Team, you'll need a blend of essential skills and experience. A minimum of one year of primary care experience is vital, along with valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in your state of practice. The ability and desire to work independently are key, as you'll be driving between various communities to deliver care.

Proficiency in using an EMR system is required to streamline patient documentation. Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effectively educating patients and collaborating with facility staff. Excellent time management abilities will help you navigate your schedule seamlessly.

Additionally, you must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check, possess current CPR certification, and provide proof of a negative TB test, ensuring you maintain the highest standards of care and safety for our patients.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Must have at least one (1) year of primary care experience
  • Valid Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in State of Practice
  • Ability & Desire to work independently

  • Effective verbal & written communication & time management skills
  • Ability to pass Criminal Background Check
  • Current CPR Certification & Proof of Negative TB Test
