About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Clinical Operations to play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of clinical strategies that are in line with the organization's mission to deliver innovative therapies for rare and orphan diseases. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a high-performing team, overseeing global trial execution, and ensuring compliance with GCP, ICH guidelines, and all relevant regulations. This role requires a leader who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, provide executive-level reporting, and has a proven track record in managing global Phase I-III trials, particularly in rare disease or specialty therapeutic areas. Applicants for the Vice President of Clinical Operations position at the company should have a degree in life sciences or a related field, with a PhD, PharmD, or MD being preferred. A minimum of 15 years' experience in clinical operations, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and operational best practices, as well as exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills. The role demands a professional who can ensure that clinical programs are delivered on time and within budget, and who is adept at managing vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance.
