Your New Role

As the Finance Operations Manager at Mister Sparky of San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas, you will own the day-to-day financial operations while serving as a key operational partner to leadership. This is not a task-only accounting role. You will manage workflows, strengthen controls, improve processes, and ensure financial operations support growth, profitability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage all accounting workflows including accounts payable, payroll processing, and monthly close

• Oversee vendor payments, cash flow visibility, and bank activity to ensure operational stability

• Prepare and remit sales tax reports accurately and on time

• Coordinate payroll wire transfers and reconcile payroll invoices

• Lead the preparation and finalization of monthly Profit and Loss statements

• Partner with Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate reporting and operational alignment

• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements across finance operations

• Maintain financial systems, documentation, and internal controls

• Support leadership with operational insights and financial reporting

• Serve as a trusted finance leader supporting day-to-day business operations

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or similar roles

• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping

• Experience with Intacct, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace

• Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to guide and influence others

• Experience in the electrical, construction, or skilled trades industry is a plus
