A company is looking for a Senior Cobol Developer to support a modernization initiative within mainframe print solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and document existing print-related COBOL copybooks and CTG programs
Design and implement a cohesive structure to reduce copybook complexity
Develop and unit test CICS and batch COBOL programs
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on COBOL development experience in a mainframe environment
Strong knowledge of CICS, JCL, and VSAM
Experience with CTG (CICS Transaction Gateway) programs and integration with non-mainframe systems
Familiarity with spooler systems and print processing in mainframe environments
Ability to reverse engineer and document legacy systems
