About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in the Debt Recovery and Collections domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the end-to-end debt recovery ecosystem and have the ability to translate complex business challenges into practical, scalable product solutions.
This role requires a seasoned professional who can provide functional leadership during product discovery and delivery, guide cross-functional teams with domain expertise, and make informed decisions in real time. The candidate should be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and customers to build products that improve operational efficiency, compliance, and recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for debt recovery and collections solutions.

  • Act as the domain expert, providing functional guidance and solution recommendations throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Lead product discovery workshops, gather business requirements, and translate them into clear product specifications.

  • Understand business challenges quickly and provide practical solutions during discussions and implementation.

  • Drive improvements across the debt recovery ecosystem by identifying process gaps, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies.

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, UX, QA, and Business teams to ensure successful product delivery.

  • Ensure product solutions align with regulatory and compliance requirements.

  • Prioritize features based on business value, customer needs, and strategic objectives.

  • Mentor teams on domain best practices and support informed product decisions.

Required Domain Expertise

Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Debt Recovery & Collections Management

  • Debt Buying & Charge-off Recovery

  • Litigation & Legal Collections

  • Payment Plans & Settlements

  • Skip Tracing & Account Resolution

  • Affidavit and Legal Document Management

  • Collection Workflows & Case Management

  • Compliance (FDCPA, CFPB, Reg F, FCRA, TCPA)

  • Portfolio & Recovery Strategy Management

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience with significant exposure to the Debt Recovery/Collections domain.

  • Strong understanding of the debt recovery business lifecycle and industry best practices.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex business problems and provide solution-oriented recommendations on the fly.

  • Experience leading product discovery, roadmap planning, and Agile product delivery.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive product outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Debt Buyers, Collection Agencies, Financial Institutions, or Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) organizations.

  • Exposure to workflow automation, AI-driven collections, analytics, or case management platforms.

  • Familiarity with modern SaaS products and API-driven integrations
