Are you a passionate Special Education Teacher looking to make a significant impact in the healthcare industry? We are currently seeking a Consulting Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your teaching skills and experience to create a positive learning environment for children in a healthcare setting. You will be working with elementary-age students in a self-contained setting, focusing on K-1st grade.
Responsibilities :
As a Consulting Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for :
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for each student, based on their unique needs and abilities.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals, therapists, and parents to ensure that the educational needs of the students are being met in a holistic manner.
- Providing direct and indirect instructional support to students in a one-on-one or group setting.
- Using adaptive teaching practices and materials that correspond with the needs of each student.
- Evaluating and tracking the progress of each student, and adjusting the teaching methods accordingly.
- Advocating for the educational needs of the students in the healthcare setting.
- Providing training and guidance to other staff members about the educational needs and accommodations of the students.
- Creating a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment for the students.
