Accounts Receivable SpecialistJob SummaryThe Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting financial reporting and budgeting processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring strong cash flow and providing financial insights through reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process and post customer payments (checks, ACH, credit cards) in QuickBooks
  • Generate and distribute accurate invoices in a timely manner
  • Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records within QuickBooks
  • Generate financial reports (aging reports, collections reports, cash flow summaries)
  • Assist in building and maintaining budgets and forecasts
  • Analyze AR data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes

Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of accounts receivable or accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (required)
  • Experience with financial reporting and basic budgeting processes
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR workflows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (reporting and data analysis)
