  • Welding Expertise: Proficient in various welding processes and techniques, with experience in specific welding procedures relevant to tank construction.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and isometric drawings.
  • Quality Assurance: Knowledge of quality control procedures and NDT methods.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various positions.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve welding and fabrication issues.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with other team members and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabrication and Assembly:
    Laying out, fitting, and welding metal components to assemble tanks according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Welding Processes:
    Utilizing various welding methods like shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and submerged arc welding (SAW).
  • Cutting and Shaping:
    Employing cutting torches and other tools to shape metal pieces for tank construction.
  • Quality Control:
    Inspecting welds for defects, ensuring they meet specified standards, and performing non-destructive testing (NDT) like magnetic particle or vacuum box testing.
  • Repair and Maintenance:
    Identifying and repairing damaged or corroded tank components, often through welding and grinding.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Adhering to strict safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safety procedures.
  • Blueprint Reading:
    Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to accurately fabricate and assemble tanks.
  • Equipment Operation:
    Operating welding machines, cutting torches, grinders, and other tools necessary for tank fabrication and repair.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
