This general contractor is looking to add an Estimator who can also play a key role in business development and client relationship building within the local market. This role blends preconstruction estimating responsibilities with a strong emphasis on market-facing activity, helping to support project pursuits, maintain key relationships, and contribute to overall growth in a collaborative, steady, and relationship-driven environment. Client Details A well-established regional general contractor with a long operating history in the Western U.S., delivering a mix of commercial and institutional construction projects. The firm operates across multiple market sectors and is known for its steady backlog, repeat client base, and consistent delivery across both ground-up and renovation work. Description Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects from conceptual through hard bid Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop detailed scopes of work Lead or support preconstruction efforts including budgeting, value engineering, and bid preparation Develop and maintain strong relationships with local clients, consultants, and trade partners Identify and pursue new project opportunities within the Nevada construction market Collaborate closely with operations and leadership teams to ensure seamless project handoff Support business development efforts through networking, client meetings, and market intelligence Profile Proven experience in construction estimating (commercial GC experience preferred) Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and local subcontractor markets Existing relationships within the Nevada construction community is highly desirable Comfortable operating in a hybrid role that blends estimating and client-facing BD work Strong communication and negotiation skills Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment Job Offer The company offers a competitive compensation package Strong pipeline of upcoming work, healthcare benefits, PTO, retirement options, and long-term career growth This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected builder where culture, collaboration, and quality delivery are central to how projects are built MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
