Position Title
Communications Coordinator
Job Responsibilities
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for creating original content to be distributed through a variety of outlets. Primary duties include producing the weekly campus newsletter, contributing to social media content, sending press releases and assisting in publication of the University alumni magazine.
- Create original content for the University newsletter, magazine and website
- Coordinate the production of the weekly online newsletter
- Assist the social media team with content and best practices
- Contribute to the production of the Truman Review alumni magazine
- Proofread and edit content created by the Public Relations Office
- Monitor University social media accounts and media coverage
- Assist campus departments and offices with content creation and editing
- Send University press releases and serve as a media liaison
- Work with the communications team during crisis situations
- Assist with video production when necessary
- Assist with some webpage editing and content management
- Post to the University master calendar and TruView
- Process online data requests for student information
- Other duties as assigned

Salary
The starting salary for this position ranges $39,000-40,000 annually commensurate with qualifications and experience.
