Job Summary :
The Outreach and Community Health Manager provides direction for a range of activities related to awareness and outreach for key Upstate services, including, but not limited to : the Chronic Disease Management Program, HealthLink Seminars, healthy aging initiatives and other services. Will be responsible for creating and running public events, especially those related to Chronic Disease and Seniors. Works with director of OASIS and HealthLink staff to support programs, especially those related to chronic disease management, seniors or grant-supported opportunities as identified by the director. The position also supports internal efforts toward a successful HealthLink community education program.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience required. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required. Some evening / weekend hours may be required for some events.
Preferred Qualifications :
Strong presentation and teaching skills preferred.
Work Days :
Monday-Friday 8 : 30 AM-5 PM primarily- possibly some evenings or weekends if needed for special events
