Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Principal, the Paraeducator performs a variety of duties assisting teachers in the overall support of instructional activities for students who are enrolled in special education moderate / severe programs and / or mainstream classrooms.

Required testing upon invitation only (Tuesdays / Wednesdays)

Desirable Qualifications :

Coursework in education, psychology, child development, classroom behavior management and / or Early Childhood Education

Experience working with students with disabilities and implementing behavioral management plans for students

Available Pay Stipends :

$150 per month incentive for Paraeducators working in the DHH program with proficiency in sign language, as certified by MCOE

$150 per month incentive for Paraeducators with proficiency in Braille and working in a position eligible for this incentive

$150 per month incentive for Specialized Health Care Procedures if assigned to specific students and trained by MCOE

$500 annual training incentive to employees who are requested and volunteer to participate in training for certification and willingness to administer emergency medications / procedures as defined by contract
