This position evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and ensures compliance with company policies and external regulations, with minimal supervision. The senior auditor collaborates with management to identify risks, develop recommendations, and monitor corrective actions. / ppEssential Duties And Responsibilities : / pulliManage the full audit cycle, from planning and risk assessment through fieldwork, reporting and follow-up. / liliDevelop and document audit programs, testing methodologies, and work papers in accordance with the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). / liliIdentify and evaluate key risks across financial, operational, and compliance areas to inform the audit plan. / liliAssess the adequacy and effectiveness of the Companys internal control systems and procedures. / liliPrepare clear, detailed, and comprehensive audit reports that summarize findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations for management. / liliEnsure compliance with policies, standard accounting procedures (GAAP, FERC), and regulatory requirements (Sarbanes-Oxley or SOX, NERC, etc.). / liliProvide guidance, coaching, and direction to junior auditors on projects, helping to develop their skills and performance. / liliParticipate in special investigative audits involving fraud, waste or abuse as needed. / liliIdentify opportunities to improve process efficiency and recommend cost-saving or revenue-enhancing measures. / liliPresent audit findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders, fostering strong relationships built on tact and objectivity. / liliPerforms quality reviews of other auditors work-papers and reports and provides technical and development feedback as necessary. / liliAssists in general risk analysis by conducting interviews with senior management. / liliLeads auditors on individual projects and assigns work as necessary. / li / ulpCompetencies : / pulliStrong knowledge of internal auditing standards, procedures, and regulations. / liliExcellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. / liliAbility to design, perform, and lead others on tests of critical internal controls. / liliBroad knowledge of and ability to apply modern internal auditing skills and techniques. / liliProficiency in the use of statistical sampling methods and techniques. / liliApply advanced data analytics techniques and tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python) to analyze large datasets and identify risk trends, anomalies, and inefficiencies. / liliThorough knowledge of and ability to apply generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS). / liliExceptional written and verbal communication skills. / liliProven project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. / liliBroad knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). / liliAbility to gather, consolidate, analyze, and draw conclusions on the subject matter under consideration. / liliAbility to perform thorough risk assessments of various processes and departments. / liliAbility to gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutions. / liliProfessionalism and strong client and team relationships. / liliMust be able to work with little direct supervision and meet assigned deadlines. / li / ulpQualifications : / pulliBachelors degree in accounting, finance or a related business field is with six to seven years of progressive experience in internal audit, public accounting, or relevant industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and / or experience related to the discipline. / liliCertified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification is required. Progress towards certification will be considered. / liliAbility to sit up to 2 / 3 of the time and to stand, walk, and stoop up to 1 / 3 of the time. Good vision and ability to adjust focus is required. Manual dexterity is required.
