We value leadership, transparency, fairness, and efficiency as we actively seek diverse talents from various sectors to join our team. / ph3The Problems Youll Solve / h3pThe incumbent will report to the Deputy Director, Compliance, and with wide latitude for independent judgment will perform the following job responsibilities, which include and are not limited to : / pulliWork closely with the Deputy Director to ensure agency accountability and compliance with New York Citys Administrative Code 6-129. / liliConduct comprehensive legal and regulatory research to support the application of the Citys Administrative Code, executive orders, and related statutes. / liliDraft, review, and edit official documents, including memoranda, policy guidance, interagency advisories, and compliance directives. / liliResearch federal, state, and local laws to identify potential impacts on program operations and develop strategic recommendations for program adaptation and alignment. / liliPrepare detailed reports summarizing legal findings, programmatic data, and policy implications to support decision-making and inform stakeholders. / liliAssist in the development of legislative proposals, rulemakings, and amendments to enhance program enforcement and effectiveness. / liliTrack administrative decisions and emerging compliance risks to proactively address vulnerabilities in agency and contractor operations. / liliDevelop training materials and deliver presentations to agency partners and stakeholders regarding regulatory obligations and best practices related to M / WBE compliance. / liliAssist in executing agency reviews, audits, onsite monitoring, and programmatic assessment. / liliPerforming special projects, generating ad hoc reports and analyses as needed. / li / ulh3Minimum Required Qualifications / h3pYou graduated from an accredited college with a baccalaureate degree; or you graduated from an accredited community college plus two years of experience with administrative, analytic, coordinative, supervisory, or liaison responsibilities; or you have a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent, plus four years of experience as described in 2 above; or you have a satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience. / ppResearch Projects Coor(MA)-Mgr - 0527A / ph3Preferred Skills / h3pYou have a J.D. and admission to practice law in New York State. You have three years experience in compliance, regulatory, or investigative capacity. You have relevant experience with external and intergovernmental affairs, public policy analysis, and / or the local, state, and federal regulatory framework for M / WBEs or civil rights. You are familiar with NYC Administrative Code 6-129, Procurement Policy Board Rules, and Local, State, and Federal diversity and inclusion programs. You have strong communication and writing skills, including the ability to target and adapt messages to specific constituencies. You have the ability to build partnerships with senior staff, managers, supervisors, and employees, and operate as a trusted advisor.
