J&S Construction is seeking a skilled Class A Driver that can drive to our yard in La Habra, Load / Unload the skid steer and / or mini-excavator into our dump trailer using chains and ratchet systems, and drive the equipment out to the jobsite. Also, this candidate will take loads of concrete / Asphalt / dirt to the nearest dump or landfill, and also pick up materials at the various supply houses. These tasks will not take up the full 8 hour day, so in between the driving the candidate must be willing to learn the role of the laborer, performing laborer level tasks : Digging footings by hand, shoveling, assisting the carpenters and finishers as needed, sweeping and maintaining a clean jobsite, and setting up / taking down the jobsites (putting up delineators and caution tape), making signs for business to remain open, etc. Formsetters and Finishers who possess a Class A license are very welcomed to apply as well; tradesmen with experience in form setting, rebar installation, and concrete finishing. We are a family-owned business that has been in the industry for 35 years and counting. The qualified candidate must possess a Class A License. This is Deal-Breaker. Please do not apply if you do not currently possess a CDL. We are looking for a team player who is willing to do all parts of the project, as even the owner is at times out with the crew with a pick and shovel in hand. For this particular position we are offering, the selected candidate will come to the yard on a daily basis, load the truck with any other tools / materials needed for the day (if not on the work truck already), and drive the work truck out to the jobsite. The selected candidate will help to be responsible for company tools / materials, and will also pickup other items needed for the jobs as necessary (going to White Cap, home depot / lowes, or other local building supply yards).

Qualifications :

• CLASS A Commercial Drivers License
• At least 3 years of experience.
• Masonry experience a plus!
• Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them. (Desired, not required)
• Concrete Finishing (desired, not required)
• Come to the yard in North Orange County and pick up the work truck and dump trailer w / equipment / tools and materials..
• Must be a team player, working well with others.
• Must provide a quality product, our business is from returning clientele.
• bi-lingual a plus. English and Spanish.
• Commercial Drivers license Class A with a clean record is a deal-breaker
