Salary : $120,000 - $160,000 per year

A bit about us :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Construction Project Manager to join our team. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a range of exciting construction projects, from commercial and civil builds to earthworks and groundwork. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, from planning to completion, ensuring they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will have a strong background in geotechnical works and be familiar with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and procedures. This is a full-time, permanent role that requires a strong background in Project Management and Construction Management.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee all aspects of construction project management from planning to implementation.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Review work progress on a daily basis and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Conduct risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders about project status and progress.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and legal paperwork are in place before construction begins.
  • Manage and mitigate project issues and risks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with DOT regulations and ensure adherence to these standards.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a strong background in commercial, civil, earthworks, and groundwork.
  • Proven experience in geotechnical works.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction project management software.
  • Ability to plan and oversee a project to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Superior management and delegation capabilities.
  • High level of financial responsibility and acumen.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
