Description :
The Director, Corporate Engagement is charged with growing and strengthening United Way of the Bluegrass relationships with corporations and employee market segments within those organizations. Cultivates relationships within all accounts, organizing and managing workplace campaigns to encourage increased participation and giving within all accounts, to maximize potential and reach desired division goals. Includes prospecting, developing relationships with non-giving accounts, and making cold calls. Ability to establish donor relationships with individuals and organizations. Contributes to and demonstrates ownership of organizational goals. He / She will be responsible for supervisor staff, creating and executing the short- and long-term account plans for each organization to maximize revenue. This outward facing role will require the candidate to be a leader who has the demonstrated ability to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships.
Requirements :
Relationship Management
- Directly responsible for building mutually beneficial relationships with corporate partners and individuals within the portfolio and identifying opportunities to expand the portfolio.
- Spend at least 50% of time out of the office to engage with donors and volunteers.
- Research, identify, and develop relationships with non-giving accounts and achieve assigned percent of goal for new account development.
- Supervise, coordinate, and empower staff and volunteers (and committees) to effectively and efficiently implement key strategies related to United Way of the Bluegrass.
- Leverages relationships to create additional opportunities with other organizations and individuals.
- Supervises staff and volunteers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field (e.g. business, communications, nonprofit management, etc.) or work experience equivalent required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc. This position will be primarily based out of the central UWBG office, hybrid work is possible one day a week with Manager approval. This position will require regular travel throughout the communities that we serve as necessary.
EXPECTED WORK HOURS
Monday through Friday, 8 : 30AM-5 : 00PM. Flextime hours must be approved by your manager. Must be willing to work a non-standard work schedule, including nights, weekends, and other unusual hours as requested.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must communicate clearly, in oral and written formats, with others in person, over the phone, and via other devices. The employee must be able to transcribe, read extensively, prepare, and analyze data and figures, and operate a computer and other standard office machinery. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, and / or pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
