Responsibilities :
Work alongside the Executive Pastry Chef to develop, maintain, and enhance the menus aboard the ship.
Create a variety of desserts, cakes, and pastries that bring joy to our guests.
Assist in preparing buffet stations to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
Guide team members in the art of preparing pastries, cakes, and creams.
Follow opening and closing procedures for kitchens and production areas diligently.
Lead training sessions on allergy awareness and dietary considerations in accordance with company guidelines.
Supervise the preparation of special dietary meals and manage food allergies for guests and crew effectively.
Delegate tasks and oversee the kitchen team's operational responsibilities.
Strive to exceed guest expectations while maintaining safety and quality, taking corrective actions when necessary.
Adhere to Disney Cruise Line and USPH sanitation standards in all applicable areas.
Ensure the presentation and preparation of menu items aligns with our high standards.
Create stunning showpieces, displays, ice creams, and sorbets, accommodating special requests as needed.
Engage in all duties related to Castaway Cay as directed by DCL leadership.
Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by DCL leadership based on operational needs.
Comply with all company policies and maritime regulations without exception.
Participate in emergency duties as outlined in the ship Assembly Plan.
Basic Qualifications :
Minimum of five years of recent experience as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Chef de Partie.
Certification as a Pastry Chef or an equivalent degree in Culinary Arts.
Strong technical knowledge of food and beverage operations at sea.
Proven track record of producing high-quality pastry products.
At least 21 years of age.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Willingness to live and work aboard a ship for specified durations.
Capacity to work a seven-day, 70-84 hour work week with limited breaks.
Compliance with Disney Cruise Line appearance standards.
Willingness to share a cabin with fellow crew members.
A commitment to thriving in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Flexibility regarding work schedule, responsibilities, and locations.
Appreciation for diversity among guests and crew members.

This position is SHIPBOARD .
Applicants should :
Demonstrate a genuine interest in a maritime career and be willing to work and live aboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel.
Commit to the position for at least 2-3 contracts before pursuing a transfer or promotion.
Be prepared to carry out safety duties as specified in the ship Assembly Plan.
Recognize and uphold safety management responsibilities as outlined in the Safety Management System.
Follow and respect United States Public Health regulations and company policies.
Be comfortable sharing a cabin with other crew members in a diverse environment.
Adapt to a structured lifestyle in both personal and professional contexts.
