Duties
Help
Collaborates with the Central Office staff in the development of design standards and guidelines and provides technical advice related to construction matters. Collaborates with the Central Office staff in the review of design and construction documents for new construction sites prior to contract advertisement to determine practicability from construction standpoint. Informs contractor of requirements concerning construction scheduling, progress reporting, safety measures, wage and hour law observance and payroll record submittal requirements. Supervises and coordinates activities related to the construction and contract administration for the projects assigned and serves as liaison between Central Office Project Managers, contracting personnel, the various architect/engineers, and contractors as well as other parties involved in the construction projects. These sites are often remote and allow only occasional direct input from the Central Office staff. Reviews and conducts technical analyses of shop drawings and other submittals, payment requests, change order proposals and claims and makes recommendations for approval or other actions.
