Job Summary :

The City of Greeley Recreation is looking for Adaptive and Inclusive Class Instructors to join our growing team. We are looking for instructors who can teach and lead in a variety of formats including youth and adult sports, swim lessons and other aquatic programs, and social programs. Instructors are responsible for leading safe, effective, and motivating programs for community members with varying ability levels.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills :

• Ability to design an effective class based on the format and participant needs.
• Ability to provide program modifications for a wide variety of abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with participants of all abilities and understand techniques for inclusion facilitation and positive behavior support
• Ability to uniquely motivate and build rapport with class participants to provide a safe and welcoming environment.
• Customer service experience.
• Adult and Pediatric CPR / AED / First Aid Certification required : American Heart Association or American Red Cross. (must obtain within 60 days of hire)
• Experience teaching swim lessons desired
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities desired
